Christmas With Ryz- Sharing Our Gifts

Christmas was always the time of year I looked forward to growing up.  Even now, during February, April, July, whenever, I find myself thinking of stockings hung by the chimney with care and a marshmallow world outside our window.  The Christmas season is one that is so amazingly impressive to me.  Not because of the gifts we receive, but the gifts we give every day.  Smiles are a little bigger.  Hugs and handshakes are a little firmer.  Words have more meaning.  For one time throughout the year, we are the person and the people we all hoped we could be.

This time of year, we are all consumed with the gifts we receive.  Whether we are on Santa’s naughty or nice list and making sure everything we want is at the top of the minds of people who care about us.  We spend time choosing what gifts we want but, in reality, the real choice comes after we receive them.

All of us have been given gifts, either the materialistic ones that come with bows and wrapping paper, or the ones that are the talents we have been given to help, serve, and provide for others.  Whatever one you wish to focus on, the real choice comes in deciding what you are going to do with those gifts.

Are you going to share them with others or squander them to yourself?

Are you going to put them to use to make an impact in someone else’s life or simply use them to continue to better your own?

Each one of us earns the gifts we are given.  But with that gift comes a responsibility, if you will, to use the gifts to their full potential.  That the gifts are meant to bring you happiness, but also to be used to bring that happiness to someone else.

So as you prepare to unwrap the gifts left for you under the tree, remember that the most important gift of all is one you already possess: the choice to use the gifts you receive or already have to make this world a little better than what it was.

From my family, both at home and at 898 Marketing, we wish you a very Merry Christmas, the happiest of holidays and a healthy 2021 for you and those you love.
