898 Marketing Lands Greenwood Chevy (Austintown)

Canfield Based Marketing Firm Tasked with Creating a Social Media Strategy for One of the Largest GM Dealers in the Country

898 Marketing, a strategic marketing consultancy in Canfield, has been named the official Social Media Partner of Record for Greenwood Chevrolet.  With its headquarters and flagship store located in Austintown, as well as a second location in Hubbard, Greenwood Chevrolet is one of the most successful Chevy dealership groups in the entire country.  Now, with the help of 898 Marketing as a partner, the automotive group will focus on creating a social media strategy to not only create meaningful engagements and connections with their customers and fans, but educate team members on their role in helping the dealership take advantage of new opportunities to succeed on a local, regional and national level through the use of this marketing channel.

“For me, the automotive industry has always held a special place in my heart, as it is where I first started and grew my professional career in marketing.  Being entrusted to guide one of Ohio’s and the country’s most successful automotive dealership’s social media strategies is a great opporutnity for our entire team at 898 Marketing and a testament to the accountable solutions we deliver,” said Jeff Ryznar, owner of 898 Marketing.

Before starting 898 Marketing in January 2014, Ryznar was a Regional Account Supervisor handling advertising responsibilities for the Lincoln Mercury Dealer Association (2003-2005) and Buick Pontiac GMC Dealer Groups (2005-2007) in the Midwest, including the state of Ohio.

As Greenwood Chevrolet’s social media partners, 898 Marketing will be responsible for the creation of a comprehensive and clear story about the dealership’s commitment to a “Trust Driven” brand through their extensive community involvement in the Mahoning Valley, as well as being a trusted expert in the automotive services they deliver.  Goals for the strategy will include increasing overall metrics for engagement on social media channels as well as targeted content and ad campaigns communicating the “Trust Driven” brand.  In addition to generating and managing the social media content and channels for Greenwood Chevrolet, 898 Marketing will conduct internal training sessions for the team members at the dealership, educating them on the importance social media has on their success and the success of the dealership as a whole by being stewards of the brand, not just employees.

Greg Greenwood, owner of Greenwood Chevrolet, had this to say about this exciting announcement: “Greenwood is thrilled to partner with Jeff Ryznar and 898 Marketing in our mission to raise the relevancy, meaningfulness and engagement of our Dealership’s social media interactions with our community and our customers.  Jeff and his team have an amazing track record of successful development and implementation of just such a strategy for many local companies, and our leadership believes the approach they have outlined is a perfect fit for our ‘Trust Driven’ culture and us. Our team looks forward to this very exciting journey with 898 Marketing.”

The partnership, which kicked off in April, will begin with the first of several monthly town hall meetings with the team members of Greenwood Chevrolet, introuducing the overall strategy to the dealership and how they are an integral part to ensuring the success of this new addition to Greenwood’s marketing strategy.

“With social media, trust is something that is earned by saying what you mean and meaning what you say.  The “Trust Driven” storyline not only guides everything the dealership does as one of the most successful dealerships in the country, but it is evident in the commitment to supporting the local community, helping those in need, not just those who need a new vehicle or service.  We look forward to sharing that story through social media and welcoming customers, team members and residents of the Mahoning Valley to be a part of the next chapter in this dealership’s long history of success,” said Ryznar.
