Firm’s Digital and Social Marketing Strategies to Brand and Increase Ticket Sales for First Ever Outdoor Concert at Youngstown State University’s Stambaugh Stadium Delivering an 8:1 ROI
(Youngstown, OH) August 18, 2017 – 898 Marketing, a Canfield-based strategic marketing consultancy, is the official marketing partner behind JAC Live’s historical event, Y Live, the first-ever outdoor concert in Youngstown State University’s Stambaugh Stadium taking place next week on Thursday, August 24, 2017. This historic event, featuring 3-time Grammy Award winning musical artist, Zac Brown Band, has relied on 898 Marketing to lead a cohesive communications and marketing plan, encompassing social media marketing strategies and other cross-channel communications to drive awareness and ticket sales.
“Eric Ryan and JAC Management are well-known in the area and the entertainment industry at delivering global entertainers and icons to the Mahoning Valley for experiences that are nothing short of unforgettable. Y Live is truly a historical event for Youngstown and something 898 Marketing is honored to be a part of in making history,” said Jeff Ryznar, owner of 898 Marketing. “Y Live is a different kind of event and we have taken a different type of approach, ensuring its success. This is an opporutnity for 898 Marketing to deliver the same accountable integrated marketing solutions we have been providing local businesses in the area but on the largest stage possible here in Youngstown.”
Since the partnership began in June, 898 Marketing has been creating, monitoring and growing the promotion of the Y Live Music event, as well as incorporating relevant local and industry appropriate content into a complete social media strategy. In addition, 898 Marketing developed a strategy to increase ticket sales to this monumental event, creatively delivering relevant messaging to individuals throughout Ohio and Western Pennsylvania. All efforts are part of a fully integrated strategy, complete with detailed reporting and analytics, measuring fan engagement, growth and ticket sales, showing a transparent return on the resources the artist and local management are investing into the promotion of the Y Live event.
“Anytime a local company gets tapped by an international brand or artist to play an integral role in marketing an event is an amazing accomplishment. We are proud to partner with 898 Marketing for this historic endeavor,” Eric Ryan, President of JAC Live said.
To date, 898 Marketing has:
- Produced an 8:1 return on the event’s marketing investment with 898 Marketing through ticket sales
- Delivered over 2.4 million digital and social impressions
- Increased JAC Live’s social media following through Facebook, Twitter and Instagram activation by over 200%
- Developed a strategy which built a new email subscriber database for the Y Live event, totaling over 1,000 opted in fans, which accounted for the 2nd highest amount of tickets sold during the pre-sale period for the event
- Advised on the development of a group sales activation plan to accommodate larger number of individuals wanting to experience Zac Brown Band at Y Live Music
This partnership has not only helped JAC Management Group with the Y Live event, but it has also provided them a new way to look at how to promote all of their events. “Every artist is different in what marketing strategy they employ and whom they choose to execute said strategy. Having said that, the level of the campaign this particular artist wanted is a first for us. Not only have we never put on an event like this, but 898 Marketing has delivered strategies we have never tried before that are delivering results we didn’t think was possible. It has been a game changer,” said Ryan
“The most exciting part of what we do is seeing the results that rise from the strategies we put into place for our clients. We have already over-delivered on our projected ROI and know that it is only going to grow as we enter the final week of sales for the event. It is going to be amazing to see a packed house at Stambaugh Stadium for a concert and know that 898 Marketing played an integral role in making history happen here in Youngstown, “ said Ryznar.
