At 898 Marketing, everything starts with a story. If you are starting your career and are a marketer who lives, eats and breathes all things social media, the Social Media Coordinator position at 898 Marketing is an ideal opportunity.

We are looking for an energetic, self-motivated, Social Media Coordinator to join our growing team! This team member will be responsible for leveraging social media as a tool for storytelling, as well as working with the Social Media Manager and Account Team in implementing a social media strategy for various partners in a variety of industries. Also, you might have to explain Tik Tok trends to some of our “too cool for Tik Tok” team members.

What You’re Called To Do

• Assist in the development, implementation and management social media strategy for clients in various industries, as well as 898 Marketing’s own social media channels
• Be a member of a team reporting to the team leader, the Social Media Manager within 898 Marketing
• Provide monthly editorial calendars and daily posts
• Work closely with designers and video team to create graphics and video to accompany content
• Draft compelling content and manage posting for social media channels, including but not limited to Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, LinkedIn, Tik Tok and YouTube
• Design, create and manage paid promotions and social ad campaigns
• Communicate with followers, respond to comments in a timely manner and monitor customer reviews
• Define important social media KPIs
• Measure the success of every social media campaign by analyzing trends, engagement, followings and posts through reporting tools and metrics
• Provide clients with regular social media reports
• Stay up to date on the latest social media best practices and technologies
• Use social media marketing tools such as Sprout Social
• Communicate with industry professionals and influencers via social media to create a strong network
• Be a mentor with our social media internship program (sorry, this does not include having them pick up your dry cleaning or getting your car washed)
  
  

What You Need To Succeed

• Bachelor of Science Degree in Marketing, Communications or related field
• Demonstrated hands on experience producing engaging content on relevant social media networking sites and platforms for business purposes (Twitter, Facebook, LinkedIn, Instagram, Tik Tok, YouTube)
• Excellent copywriting and proofing skills
• Proficient in graphic design and video editing knowledge/skills
• The ability to create eye catching content, sometimes with only a smartphone
• Data driven, with ability to make recommendations based off insights
• Trend-follower; obsessed with current social trends, emerging platforms, and strategic engagement
• Previous experience with paid social media campaigns preferred but not required
• Ability to work independently and in a collaborative team environment
• Organized, dependable and detail oriented
• Ability to complete assigned tasks within identified time frames with outstanding multitasking abilities
• Team Player who likes to have fun
• Excellent personal, verbal and written communication skills a must
• Professional, punctual and collaborative…also a must
• The ability to actually explain to your family and friends what your job is (“You tweet for a living?”)
