Tuesdays With Ryz – Be Who You Are

Last week we celebrated Halloween.  I have never been a fan of Halloween. I don’t like scary movies, haunted houses or pretending to be someone other than myself. But I (bleeping) love candy!

While Halloween is reserved for escaping our own identity and trading it in for another, if just for a short period of time, we all wear masks every day.  Each day, we put on a mask that hides what is happening in our lives.

Whether it is a mask covering struggles we are experiencing, emotions we are feeling or thoughts we are having but can’t express them for whatever reason, the masks we wear in our daily lives are not just reserved for Halloween.  Instead of putting the mask on, be comfortable in your own skin and be who you are.

While we may feel like the masks we wear are helping us feel comfortable around people, the real comfort is found in being who you are. By sharing what you are going through with people in your life who accept you for who you are, they actually find their role in helping you be the amazing person they love.

So, take off the mask.  It just may be the most comfortable you have ever felt.

Thanks for reading and if you need anything, I’m here for you.
