Tuesdays With Ryz: See the Forest Through the Trees
It is hard to see the forest for the trees, isn’t that the saying? The fact that, during difficult times, it is tough to see the bigger picture and remain positive about what is happening around you. Whether it is in our professional or personal lives, at our job or in our homes, we encounter moments where we can’t “see the forest.” And when our optimism is overshadowed by leaves of pessimism and branches of despair, it can feel as if the forest has overtaken us. But all is not lost when this happens. These instances require us to dig deeper in ourselves to truly see the good in everything, even if you cannot see anything through the trees. Every day we have a choice: a choice to choose positivity. A choice to choose to see the good in even the worst situations. The truth is that our happiness is not tied to money or power or skill or giftedness or appearance, despite what our culture, media and even our own voices in our head may tell us. Happiness in life depends on the quality of our attitude and the POSITIVE thoughts we continue to keep in our minds. Life is 10% what happens to you and 90% how you react to it. Instead of choosing to stop walking through the forest, choose happiness and you will see more than just the trees but how great life can truly be for you.
